Elizabeth Warren: Fixing the Banks, Lifting the Middle Class

It is not just the American middle class that is under attack but to my understanding the global middle class.

The capitalists (multimillionaires, billionaires) and their puppet governors around the globe, whenever they see the middle class becoming strong (financially, technically) they receive an organised attack to be scrapped from their wealth and technology control. It is not a theoretical financial cycle (boom, bust) but a planned way that makes the rich just plain richer.

As some honest rich people published their understanding on the fact rich people do not create jobs, it is well understood that rich people do create demand only for more money in their accounts, but they are unable to invest without the knowledge or the courage of the middle class skills and the commercial demand generated by a healthy middle class.

Rich people and their conglomerate institutions are scared to death by the strong and healthy middle class as they see them as a potential "take over" of their world. So, they plan attacks against them whenever they feel threatened.

On February 23, the Chicago Humanities Festival hosted Elizabeth Warren, a Harvard Law Professor hailed by Time Magazine as one of the "New Sheriffs of Wall Street." The former Chair of the Congressional TARP Oversight panel, Warren currently serves as Assistant to President Obama and Special Advisor on Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

At one of her few public appearances since her appointment, Warren talked about her personal journey in public service and its culmination in the building of a new agency dedicated to protecting American consumers.

The Chicago Humanities Festival is thrilled to make Elizabeth Warren's entire presentation available to stream online at http://www.chicagohumanities.org
Generously sponsored by the Alter family, this lecture honors the late Joanne H. Alter's pioneering work on behalf of women interested in social action and public service.
