- Genuine purpose for the lesson.
- Interactive and engaging materials used properly.
- Allow students to direct their own learning.
- Mistakes are integral part of learning Not a sign of failure. Celebrate them.
- Direct the students instead of dictating them.
Here I could comment that religious teaching for religions are not allowing mistakes, and always dictate on you their "knowledge". Just tell them "Your knowledge is not my knowledge, Let me make my own knowledge in a way I can for myself"
